First you need an iphone.

**Note** You require a data plan. A lot of people who follow this method just get unlimited data.

For Americans: you guys got it easy. Sign up for google voice - pick a USA number from your city. Download Talkatone (free) - Then simply launch the app and keep it out 24/7 and your good to go with unlimited calling and texting.

For Canadians: We have to do some random stuff..sucks eh?
Alright first lets get umlimited texting - Download TextMe (free) and they will give you a free Canadian number to text with. So just use that app to text your friends and your friends can text back that number they give you and it doesn't cost your friends anything extra.

Now the calling number (this method can be used by international people too): Sign up for skype then go to http://www.ring2me.com/ and they will give you a Canadian or International number with an extension. For example it will be 647-555-5555 ext: 238. Also another bonus is you can have as many numbers directing to the skype account.

Now just turn on the skype(free) app on your iphone and let the calls come in.


To be honest dialing an extension isn't exactly ideal but it does give a more businessy/important feel to it.

Either way if you are going off the charts on your cell phone bill might as well get an iphone if you don't already have one and just pay for unlimited data without worrying about going over your usage.
